Originally from New Jersey, Elyse came to Myrtle Beach when she was stationed at the now closed Myrtle Beach Air Force Base (MBAFB) in 1982.She had an extensive background in General Aviation and earned her Private Pilot Certificate prior to joining the USAF. She completed 14 years of outstanding meritorious military service as a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Specialist and finally achieved a position as the first female Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent at MBAFB. Her aviation career continued as a Flightline Specialist at the newly formed Myrtle Beach Aviation, which was established by the Horry County Department of Airports after the base closed. She then obtained certification as an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic while employed at a local commercial aircraft repair station. The aviation industry was devastated after 9/11 and Elyse transitioned to employment within the hospitality industry. She was the first general Manager of the award winning Wine and Tapas fine dining restaurant, SeaBlue in North Myrtle Beach. Her experience in Hospitality Management and hotel reservation systems made for an easy transition to the travel advisor world.Elyse had never been on a cruise before completing Cruise Planner Associate training in September 2014. Since then, she has hosted several group cruises, taken many vendor familiarization trips and completed numerous vendor and destination certifications. She is responsible for finalizing all of the group travel within our agency and making sure nothing is overlooked. In addition, she reviews all individual travel and establishes work procedures, policies and assignments for all of the agents within our office. She loves visiting new places and experiencing new sights, food and history. Among her favorite destinations are Alaska and the Turks and Caicos and she is particularly looking forward to an upcoming Mediterranian cruise adventure that visits the Italian region which was home to her ancestors.Elyse has two children and two grandchildren and an extended family. She enjoys spending “family” time as much as she enjoys traveling.
